About the Retirement Income Group
Founded 2014
Our purpose is to help people enjoy their retirement with the security of an income for life.
The Retirement Income Group was founded in 2014 by NZ’s leading Insurance Industry expert Ralph Stewart. Trading commenced in 2016 and Retirement Income Group is now New Zealand's largest insured retirement income insurer managing over $300 million of assets.
The Group is NZ’s retirement income specialist. To date we have hosted over 50 retirement income seminars, with our last 2019 Spring Seminar Series attracting nearly 2,000 people.
The Group owns Lifetime Income Limited which was granted NZ’s 1st (and only) Variable Annuity Licence from the Reserve Bank of New Zealand in 2015.
Supported by industry experts. We're a proudly New Zealand owned company run by some of the most experienced professionals in the industry including: leading financial commentator and author, Martin Hawes; and former Retirement Commissioner, Dame Diana Crossan.
The Retirement Income Group is also fortunate to have benefited from the experience and wisdom of Sir Michael Cullen, Former Deputy Prime Minister, who played an extensive role as a Board Director for four years (2017 - 2020).
